Come to Woodland Park for our Spring Clean-up to celebrate Earth Day and be part of The Great Global Cleanup! The Great Global Cleanup is a worldwide campaign to remove billions of pieces of trash from neighborhoods, beaches, rivers, lakes, trails, and parks — reducing waste and plastic pollution, improving habitats, and preventing harm to wildlife and humans.

Come join us on April 23rd in our mission to preserve and protect Woodland Park and Little White Oak Bayou for the enjoyment of all! Over 400 tires have been removed from the bayou, and over 10,000 lbs of trash were removed in 2022 alone. However, Little White Oak Bayou is still plagued by pollution largely from illegal dumping upstream - especially plastic bags & bottles. This is a constant battle until we can find ways of eliminating upstream dumping or until a trash capture system is developed.

Friends of Woodland Park will supply gloves, trash bags, snacks, and badges to all who help out! Bring your group or your friends and family. An online waiver is required for all. Note: The community center will be open only from 1pm-4pm for bathroom access.
