What a successful day of planting! Thank you to all the volunteers who braved the cold and the wet to come out to Woodland Park on Saturday, November 21st, to help plant over 600 native grasses, shrubs, and flowers on the banks of White Oak Bayou. Another big thank you to the Houston Parks and Recreation Department for selecting Woodland Park for this wonderful project.
It was a fun bonding experience – slogging up the muddy hill was not easy but coming down was the real challenge! It was great to see dedicated high school students come out to help and to have elementary school students see first hand the value and importance of community service.
